Finally we got our Human Resource and Marketing project and presentations done. Was helluva busy but we had fun doing it…right guys??? especially when filming the video for marketing, all in one night, setting the midnight oil on fire, right up to 6am b4 wrapping up…….and my best actor award will go to Mr. Tan Jin Ku aka KJ!

Had Fordclubsg photoshoot, on a cloudly followed by rainy Sunday morning….here are the pics. Aft tt ploughing thru heavy rain, lunch was at Kallang Mac.

Over one night, a fren was lost. Though we werent close, but still, memories are there. Rest in peace. Hope his beloved ones gain strength and live on, for he will live in our hearts, forever.

I urge all frens, to drive carefully.

Had dinner last Fri with willy and gang, aplogetic for not meeting them often enuff, due to project datelines to meet. Last time we met was like DJ cashmoney @ Zouk? 2 wks back? Yeah, tt was good! Japanese buffet was good tt day too. Had helluva alot of sashimis and tempuras, ended up feeling bloated right up to the next day.

Saturday was miata meet. 20 over miatas turned up and we convoyed frm NUS to Shore Restaurant off changi. The drive was great. Aft tt was zoom zoom to West Coast Mac for coffee with some members and phew, Herbie and I was this close to getting caught by the TP.

Now, its the midst of the exams. Aft a week of studying, glad that HR paper went well and I even had overcome my greatest fear, Managerial Accounting. Now lemme hope for the best. 2 days to marketing paper….and freedom for a month. But sad to see willy and yang going away for a week or 2.

Aft exams, my main to dos would be ensure Miata Cancer charity drive be carried out smoothly this sat and to plan and prep for the event of the year…Miata Run! Lucky tt i got a capable assistant…

PS: Mr Yang Dechao, may u please change ur tyres, as one of them has a crack in the sidewall which could lead to a tyre blowout. This is for ur safety. Please change it ASAP. Its a half an hour job.

Aft that busy night was Movies…The fast n The Furious : Tokyo Drift!!! At upp bukit timah rd, my clocked showed like 2:01 or is it 2:04 am? We reached The Cathay’s carpark like 2:11 or 2:12am? Go figure! Sounds crazy and not going to do it again.

Banana’s powerwindow konked out over the weekend….rushed to Jon’s place to get a car cover..luckily i did it…coz it tide me over Monday’s morning heavy rain. Rushed to drop off the banana at workshop b4 heading to sch…late. Aft the tired weekend, had the soundest sleep during MA test…1 hr test done with 20 mins….tt gives me 40 mins to nap…shiok.

Was offered the 72 once again…been thinking of it…but during this time, i  realised the banana is actually much coveted by a few. should i? should i not? JW says late for sch not good…future very important. hahah….i think so too!

meanwhile, stay waiting for special indentation of my blitz gauge to arrive…can’t wait. So far, should be one n only blue one in SGP.

Rellie tiring week…even skipped phuture this wed…pray for me…pray that i can finish my HR proj in time..race against time…always.

Highlight of the week? Yes, it got to be the Alfa Romeo Bera & 159 Launch. Love the looks of the bera…love its ass…sexy ass she’s got there. But interior wise, kinda impractical, considering those 2 rear seats are juz for infants…hee.

Luckily yesterday’s MA test was a breeze. Luckily i sat in the correct row, thus getting the easier paper(i think).

This weekend is special…but sighz, seems like a viscious cycle, everything seems to be back to a square…let’s hope it juz gets better.

Mum’s car was like stuck in workshop for a week….finally, the noise is pinpointed and solved! Got this chance to install stainless steel brake hoses. Final bill….a 4 figure sum…but it handles as beautiful, if not better than b4! Juz washed the focus today…and now…some irritating shrieking noise has set in…seems to be the rear suspension…dun tell me my blisteins are gone? now it sounds like i’m keeping a chirping bird in the boot. Mum…time to change….Lets see..electric orange focus ST? or shall we have a 159? lets look further..IS250?..ultimate…electric blue Volvo S60R?

School has been gd, all our lecturers seem farnie this term…some are really farnie, some think they are farnie, but overall it still tickles me.

okie, reservist’s over since last fri…in the end, those hypocrites, decide to give me a "E" grade. And certainly tt doesn’t stand for excellence…haha. Its ok, i made an appeal….lawyers n my MP will come into the picture if need be.

I tot all will be fine, cause S4 Toh Hock Seng had a nice one to one talk to me in the morning…but…during out process, only did he drop the bombshell…well done dude. He told my fren, Nic, who couldn’t wear his boots as he had sprained his ankle during the morning run, to go to the medical centre to get an excuse slip…..when we are juz 5 mins away from all this shit…pure tekan.

Harold was apparently charged…not for not booking RT, but for not wearing full uniform when attending the interview for the "not booking RT warning" interview.

VMs were told after out process tt they will be posted out since they got nothing to do. Actually i think all of us wan to be posted out. Stuck up officers juz can’t click with us. They are power hungry, hold higher ranks, but national service days are over. Come on’ its a unwritten rule tt u dun tok to ur men they way u did during NS days k….those days are over. Tok us to with respect n we will respect u. I can’t stand it when almost every instruction or reminder comes with a charge threat. Juz like my BMT days…haha…when everything u did seems like a chargeable offence, as if the rules were written by them.

The fun part was after we were outprocessed, the talk we had with our officers…full of sacarstic remarks…pity i left early, cause there was almost a fight btwn men n officers. Missed the show…
Anyway to make emphasize on someone’s theory of loud engine = speeding, i made a very grand exit…..haha.

Sunday was movie with cars…erm on cars..aiyah, both la…haha! This week was a sweet week for me!!! Monday was whole day round Singapore with mel, happily shopping for some pimped out 18inch rim for his Jaguar… Wed was phuture, with mitch, laurine, willy, and 2 other frens. It was all good, we were all happily grooving…

Friday was blading with the nicest pple at ECP…and ya, Yang…floor got no gold, stop looking at the grd!

Saturday was cousin’s wedding reception in the morn, followed by car wash, in prep for June’s Miata meet! Dinner place was at botak jones…and the journey there was filled with smoke, burning tyres and explosions. All thanks, to Jason’s launch control….backfires and flames were the entertainment of the drive. Aft dinner, Johnny’s miata sort of broke down, and few of us, in the street lit HDB open air carpark were fumbling with tools to fix it. Imagine, we could get the cam cover out, access the waterpump area, put back a loose screw, and place everything back again…in an hours time! The ladies helped by holding the torches.

Aft tt was Liquid Kitchen for the match, and Chong Pang for Nasilemak…then it was…ermm…k, *secret*

Last week was great in camp…boring though. Didn’t noe a little incident could spark off a series of events…

It goes like this, forgot which afternoon, S4 by the name of Toh Hock Seng, told Derek to settle the gun’s POL. The united us, accompanied Derek to get the necessary Documents. We explained to him the paperwork procedure, he exclaimed " Wow, so simple, next time i dun need u guys!" Seeing him in a joking mode, i went, " Sir next time dun call us back la…" He went on saying he wished he could, and stuff like tt…suddenly, as if a demon possessed him, in the same voice though, he said, " u dun kuai lan…my men slog all day, wat u all do all day? U wan stayout i can give u all, help one another…" We were left speechless. Come on’ this is not my job scope n we did it for u, secondly, i fulfilled my jobscope.

Sunday nite, somehow, all of bunk 06-23 didn’t book in. So did many others, no names mentioned. My MTO called, asked me where am I (home) and why didn’t i book in. i told him i knew of the instruction and yes, i stayed out without permission, joking to him to have the reservist attitude. Next thing, kenna shot down again. Next morning, all of us got 2 days of nights off confiscated.  Fair, we agree to it and accept since its our fault. Last evening, we were dropped another bombshell…sentry duty and guard the excercise vehicles. We were like "huh? what?" Tried arguing, saw its pointless….we did it, not in shifts, but all eight of us together, all the way frm 8pm to 6am! cool? One for all, all for one…this is the spirit…

11++pm, S4 and Thomnson Tng were jogging, decide to drop by on us…was told i couldn’t park my car there…so i shifted to the other row…..20M away…little did i knew, today i was told they wanted to charge me for speeding. They were sure i exceeded the 30km/h speed limit. Evidence? I didn’t know officers were bestowed with "laser" eyes. cool. Now they want to charge me for the stayout thingy which i oredi have been punished for. Say so earlier, 50 bucks for u sir!

Funny thing is after this whole saga, officers say they dunno abt all these…actually I think is a collaboration. There’s no one we could trust…mebbe, hopefully except CO.

MTO, Vincent Leong, told me he can fail my this ICT, which means is doesnt count as one reservist done. I told him, i have fullfilled my job scope, tt’s all i can say. He told me again, maybe no promotion for me…i almost wanted to laff my head off…guys out there, u think i care? Come’ on, this isn’t my career, who cares abt rank….anyway who sees rank in reservist?

So now, its officers vs me…we will see who will emerge the winner. I dun win here its ok, aft all, 2 or 1 week per yr…i can take it. That’s not counting those times i might need to defer.

If i do lose…i dun mind. 2 weeks to see the true colours of these few pple, not very long. I’m glad i saw it in 2 weeks. Everyone else, u noe what i mean, u all noe wat they are like, good luck. If i lose this battle, I’ll juz take it tt they are sore that they dun drive to camp…in their sentences, they keep mentioning "sports car"….a testament of jealousy. Come on’ sports car doesnt mean fast car right? haha….

Do watever they want…for all i care. I never use the word "threaten" whether to them or them to me. Juz a piece of advice, in a year, I have max 2 to 3 weeks here, but u have 49 to 50 weeks out there…on ur own. We have a long way to go. ICT is only 8 more cycles…but u can live much beyond that. This world is juz tt small, juz pray our paths dun cross one day, n i have the upperhand, coz u will reap wat u sow. Remember these words.

Let’s start with my in camp training. Reservist at its slackest! Besides taking over of my store, did half an hour of marshalling, processed one document, i slept throughout the week! Can u imagine tt! Booking in @ 8 ish, sleep till 12ish, go for lunch with bunch of buddies, back to bunk, one knocking out after another, all the way till 5….then book out! Eat, sleep and wait for book out! This is life! If only my NS was like tt….memories….

A lot of catching up was done, among fellow army mates, my ex superiors…

Tuesday is ah Gong’s b’day celebration!!! Dinner was at Lei Garden@Chijmes. Its been a long time since we were last at Lei’s. The private room was special, with a lil area filled with armchairs, for u to chill while waiting for the rest to arrive. Food quality still stand out, still one of the best, new menu, with fusion dishes. Longivety bun nvr tasted so special b4! Shark’s fin was different too. Service level is something i muz comment. Service at Lei Garden is top notch, unrivalled! Our server is more like a butler, catering to our requests. U noe wat, its the FIRST time, someone at a restaurant actually noticed the left handers on the table. I was shocked when she swopped my chopstick stand and other cutlery to my left….commendable! Aft that was same pple @ Liquid Kitchen.

Wednesday was my Birthday!!! To save the trouble of dining out, i ordered loads of food frm KFC n Pizza Hut…munching by the tv, enjoying Singapore Idle…Idol i mean. Fav tiramisu cake frm family. Dad gave a lil angbao, pearl bought me my present sometime back, mum….still feeling stress, coz i havent select my gift..haha…most prob would be the Blitz mirror face gauge. But i oso wan..Tein SS, FMIC, ECU…aiyah..slowly yar?  Mum always have the biggest present for me! I love her!

Aft tt was to the clubs! Ray n Laurine picked me up, met the rest at Butter Factory.

On the table: A lil bottle of chivas, a lil bottle of Baileys, 2 jugs of Gin, a flaming lambo.

There was lil bash, so more young chicks..er, i mean young pple. Music was good, dancefloor was not bad, i think in the end, everyone had a lil too much to drink. I puked. Everyone was f*cking high except for Ray and Szepan. Baileys were a gift frm KJ, somehow, it got opened, then got confiscated. When willy n i tried to negotitate for them to hold it for us, we were made to drink like half of the bottle! Everyone was high, making hell loads of noise outside butter fac….with willy insisting of driving home, but his keys got confiscated in the end.

Sze pan was so nice to send us all back, in her lil Pug 206CC, with the top down!!!! Wooh!

Next day, dragged myself to camp, and continued hang over there till lunch time. haha!

Yesterday was World Cup opening ceremony party at my place!
Attendees: Yang & Szepan, Vince & Joelle, Willy.
Vodka was on the table, but not much drank. The beer had better sales. Night of chips n beer.
Sis, Willy, Yang n me played mahjong till 5ish, while the rest called it a day ard 3.

Sunday was to the PC show with KJ where we purchased a new Lenovo lappie each, courtesy of Singnet. Then was to Botak Jones at AMK with mum n sis. This lil american western food store, recommended by Ford Clubbies’, tucked in a lil corner of AMK, surprisingly serve excellent food. Beating several big names like Swensen’s flat. No wonder, why it manage to draw such a huge crowd! Aft that was to grannies’, then Liquid Kitchen with WIlly & Sam, Yang & Shipan, Andrea and me! Nice beer and a game of poker! Aft tt was supper@ Thomson prata, followed by home sweet home.

At this time, I have already finished packing my stuff, showered, gettin ready to nap. Yes, coz 3 hrs more, i will be in boot camp for the next 2 weeks. Time off from urban life, catch up with old army mates…

Aft tt, will be tinkering with my new lappie, my cars, and clubbing, before sch starts! Aiyah, rellie hope i can pass my econs.

Petrolheads there will be tackling to cutdown laptime, pushing the machines to the limit. Cruising can be done downtown. Dun hog up the track. Geez!

Yes, tomorrow is our first paper…finally…the long wait has arrived. All well preped. Still at KJ’s…as usual…practising n practising. Find it damn comfie to study here…often till the wee hours.

Finally managed to meet her for supper last nite and lunch today! Lunch was damn heavy…we had the famous one ton mee. Its good, tt we are gettin well together, but rem, slow n steady wins the race. Got shouted at today by this joker who was straddling two lanes on his motorbike. He almost fell off his bike! I admitted, i was speeding in the carpark, but come on…u were in my lane. Anyway sorry afro!

Sat will be SIFE competition. Hope they will win…and aft tt we can hit the clubs and groove!!! I almost thought they were the safety car…haha. Rem…horsepower sells the car…but torque wins the race. No torque, how to win?

Exams next week? to me, it didnt seem like it! I am totally lost in Business stats. A little blur in econs. Dependent on tips for Organisational Behaviour.

Last night dinner was @ Mt. Faber’s FaberHill Bistro. Des’s surprise party. Its the first time i’ve seen a ger giving her bf a surprise early b’day party. Its something done by guys usually. Tiff, Des n I share the same b’day, i take it tt its for me too ya? haha… Bon voyage and hope to see guys real soon.

Later on I still have movie GTG with Ford Club…Xmen3 here I come… Tmr is miata club meet…yipee!

Ok, tt’s all my merry making…i did study after all lar. From the few hrs I study in sch b4 lesson starts @ 2, it didnt get my engine started. But it started! I was mugging at KJ’s till 4ish yesterday! And I really absorbed alot. Now, Stats to me….much easier than b4! KJ, thanks for coaching me and showing me the links when i have probs. He’s one great "teacher" who doesn’t spoon fed his "students"!
